What do you get when New Yorkers open an Italian restaurant in West Texas? Soft lighting, white napkins, secluded corners, and twinkle lights on the patio. Italian favorites are rounded out by American classics. We stuck with signature dishes, starting with the crisp calamari with a surprisingly addictive sweet chile sauce. Pasta alfredo was another favorite, with silky sauce, roasted chicken, and house-made fettuccine. A generous portion of crisp chicken Parmesan, appropriately smothered in marinara, didn’t disappoint either. That said, the standout was fettuccine crowned by roasted shrimp and sweet peas, with lemon-scented arugula cream sauce adding a peppery kick.
